– The Uvesa Group will buy all the products in its 2,700 Christmas hampers from small suppliers in Tudela and La Ribera.
– The deadline for participation, open this month, is extended until 30 September
UVESA Group has launched this month’s contest Christmas Project with Social Impact aimed at SMEs located in the area of influence of Tudela and La Ribera that have been affected by the pandemic. With this initiative, and as part of the Navarrese poultry company’s commitment to local trade and business, the aim is twofold.
On the one hand, the purchase from these local suppliers of the products that will supply the 2,700 Uvesa Group Christmas hampers will mean an approximate contribution of 100,000 euros to the local economy. On the other hand, these businesses will see a boost to their business, which has been hampered by the difficulties caused by COVID-19, with assured sales and a high volume.
Interested companies can send their proposals by e-mail to comunicacioninterna@uvesa.es until 30 September, indicating, among other things, the food product they are offering with a minimum shelf life of one year, format, capacity and price, which should not exceed 6 euros. The names of the winners will be announced once the selection process has been completed.
There is also a special category aimed at artisan companies and professionals for the creation of a piece of craftwork that will also form part of the Christmas hamper, as was the case last year.
The project, which this year begins in Tudela, will be replicated annually in all areas where UVESA Group has a presence: Malaga, Rafelbunyol and Alcàcer, Cuellar and Valladolid, Casarrubios del Monte (Toledo) and Burgos. UVESA Group and last year opted for local products to promote and help trade in the areas where it is located. In total 2,700 baskets with products from more than 40 producers who, thanks to this initiative, received a commercial and economic injection after months of uncertainty.
