  • Installation of solar panels at its Rafelbunyol plant (Valencia).
  • Reduce its environmental footprint by 278 tons of CO2 per year
UVESA Group, which has spent years committed to renewable generation, sustainability and optimization of its production centres, has launched a new installation of solar photovoltaic self-consumption to supply its poultry processing plant in Rafelbunyol (Valencia).A new step, framed in the ‘green strategy’ and environmental commitment of UVESA, to move the necessary energy change and implement its efficiency. The power of the installation is 716 kW, with a production of more than 1,130 MWh/year, which will cover 12% of the electricity demand of this centre.

This investment joins the March 2021 investment in the hatchery at the Ciudad Agroalimentaria de Tudela industrial estate, its first photovoltaic solar self-consumption facility.

The Rafelbunyol plant will reduce its annual volume of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere by 278 tonnes, reducing its carbon footprint, specifically indirect or Scope 2 emissions, which are those derived from the consumption of electricity from the grid. Grupo Enhol, an industrial group from Navarre with extensive experience in renewable energies, has been responsible for the commissioning of this installation.
