UVESA Group modernises telecommunications infrastructures to accelerate its digitalisation thanks to Telefonica

The food group, with plants in several autonomous communities, implements voice and data solutions based on intelligence in the “cloud”.
UVESA Group takes another step in its digitisation process. Supported by Telefónica España, the leading food holding company in its sector in Spain, with headquarters in Tudela (Navarra) and plants in several autonomous communities, has carried out a thorough modernisation of its telecommunications infrastructure that has allowed it to implement voice and data solutions based on intelligence in the “cloud” in a strategy that will facilitate the development of its digital transformation process.

The new solutions implemented by Telefónica España in UVESA Group, will serve as the basis for its digitisation and future evolution towards an increasingly efficient and flexible corporation. The new networks (SDN FlexWAN) represent an exponential advance in the solvency of communications, promoting access to corporate applications and the exchange of information in an optimal and secure way, resulting in an increase in productivity in general.

In addition, Grupo UVESA is implementing, through a central Aruba system, a powerful network solution with a cloud-hosted control system, which provides information through artificial intelligence, task automation capabilities and a high level of security that allows IT teams to manage and optimise branch office networks, remote locations, data centres and IoT from a single dashboard.

The full integration of fixed and mobile telephony at the corporate level will enable the food group to generate operational efficiencies, while migrating the core telephony platform to the cloud and eliminating reliance on local physical PBXs. This will lead to a modern, fully managed, service-mode solution, freeing it from equipment maintenance and providing a single platform for the entire corporation.

On the other hand, the evolution towards a personalised service model, through the assigned nominal technical and administrative profiles, provides Uvesa with the necessary proactive support to detect improvements throughout its communications infrastructure, monitor the use of resources and manage any management related to active services in an agile and accurate way.
