Uvesa invests 5.5 million euros in improving the infrastructure of its Malaga plant

UVESA Group has finished executing the improvement works in the facilities and systems of its Malaga plant. The total amount of the investment has been five and a half million euros, of which a million and a half has been devoted, during 2019, to the expansion of the cutting room and the renewal of industrial refrigeration equipment. To this we must add the 4 million that UVESA allocated last year to the acquisition of a system of stunned with CO2 and the expansion of expeditions and storage chambers of the factory located in Malaga.

UVESA Málaga is a plant dedicated to the slaughter of broilers (broilers) with capacity for 8,000 chickens / hour. In 2018, it processed 41,000 tons of live chicken and 30,800 carcass chicken. Currently, in addition to 35 indirect jobs, its workforce consists of 260 people.

The Malaga plant has 90 poultry farms in integration regime distributed throughout the Andalusian geography, except in the provinces of Jaén and Almería. It supplies its products to all sales segments and is present in all Andalusian provinces, both in the traditional channel and in the large distribution.

This UVESA Group center has the certification of BRC quality, food packaging, and IFS, safety and product quality. In addition, it has passed all the audit phases to obtain the AENOR Animal Welfare certificate.
