Grupo Uvesa participates in the development of technologically advanced packaging together with Itene and Iata

Grupo UVESA participates, in collaboration with national research centers such as the Technological Institute of Packaging, Transport and Logistics (ITENE) and the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA), in projects aimed at development of an active tray capable of generating carbon dioxide and thus increase the shelf life of fresh packaged meat.

Grupo UVESA participates as a promoter in the R & D + i project called AVICO2 and has provided technical personnel with knowledge in poultry production and raw material handling, quality control and processing and packaging technologies in the production plant.

Thus, UVESA takes another step towards the future of packaging and addresses improvements based on the prototype obtained in previous projects. The modifications consist of optimizations of design and materials and necessary adaptations both in the prototype of packaging and in the processes necessary to obtain said container and apply it to different types of chicken meat products.

This project has been submitted to the line of financial support for Consolidation of the Value Chain in the 2019 call of the Generalitat Valenciana.
